During the conference, representatives of the DG ENER, European Commission, relevant ministry of the Czech Republic, association of gas infrastructure operators of Europe – GIE, energy companies of Czechia, Germany, Slovakia, expert organizations address the functioning of the regional gas market and its evolution, in the context of an emergency situation, discuss the potential of renewable and low carbon gases in the region in an emergency context.
The speechies of Roxana Caliminte, Deputy Secretary General, GIE; Cristina Lobillo Borrero, Director – Head of Energy Platform Task Force, DG ENER; Andreas Rau, CEO, Net4Gas attracted considerable attention. According to the assessment of the conference participants, the current energy crisis will continue until at least 2026 and will be resolved through additional regulatory changes to energy legislation, consumer adaptation and reorientation of gas infrastructure.
