Central European Energy Conference – CEEC 2021

22 November 2021 in Bratislava Cepconsult attend important annual event for the energy sector of the region – Central European Energy Conference (CEEC 2021).

Conference was held under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Eduard Heger and the Mayor of Bratislava, the Capital City of the Slovak Republic, Matúš Vallo.

Traditionally event was organised by Slovak Foreign Policy Association (SFPA) in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic.

At the 15th CEEC conference the upcoming changes in energy sector were discussed. The orginizers believed the consequences of Covid-19 pandemic created an opportunity to speed up necessary changes of energy sector. The conference discussed as well the possibilities brought by the Recovery Facility in V4 countries, EU Energy Policy and energy security of Central Europe and payed special attention to emissions reduction in cities, new developments in energy storage, rail sector, and decarbonisation in industry.

Moreover, presentation of the World Energy Outlook of the International Energy Agency was performed during the confernce.
